Despite almost daily reports of security breaches and identity theft, most end users still think their systems are pretty safe. But they're wrong, according to study results released last week by Verizon.

Verizon Improves Internet Security Through Online Portal

Verizon Communications Inc., a provider of broadband services, announced last week that the company is making it easy for all computer users to get necessary protection from viruses, spyware and hackers.
As the amount of threats posed by Internet use increases daily, Verizon (News - Alert) has announced their bid, in October, national Cyber Security Awareness Month, to provide all users, regardless of their Internet service provider, with an easy to use service that keeps computers safe from viruses, spyware and hackers.
Privacy is fast becoming the trendy concept in online marketing. An increasing number of companies are flaunting the steps they've taken to protect the privacy of their customers. But studies suggest consumers won't pay even 25 cents to protect their data.
